In Patong Beach you come to relax, enjoy the beach and party, and it’s nice to have a swanky hotel to go back to: there is plenty of choice for any budget, so where to stay in Patong?

I stayed with my friend Tianna (blogger at The Passport Chronicles) for two nights at the 4-star Ramada Phuket Deevana Patong, and I would definitely go back.
Ramada Phuket Deevana Patong is a new hotel, and you can feel it: the furniture and the decorations are faultless, and it all felt very fresh.
The lobby has plenty of comfy couches where to relax, and the check-in process is fast and smooth.
Tianna and I stayed in one of the Deluxe Rooms, and I only have nice words for it.
The bed was probably the most comfortable I’ve slept in during my whole Asian trip, and I love how the elephant theme was integrated in the room also.
The room features a fridge, two complimentary bottles of water per day and a boiler for making hot tea and coffee. There is also a huge flat screen TV… but who needs that while in Phuket, right?
The complimentary wi-fi was fast and I was able to get some work done easily while there; there is no need to bring a travel adapter since the rooms have universal plug sockets.
Unfortunately the weather wasn’t the best while we were in Phuket, so the beach wasn’t really an option, but as soon as the sun rays came out we ran to the pool to take advantage of it. The pool on the roof is open 7am-7pm and it’s not too big, but super nice to relax.
From 5 to 6 pm it’s happy hour time at the pool bar, so we got two Pink Elephant cocktails (don’t ask me what was in it, but they were good!) for 200 baht total, very good value.
Now, breakfast. Where to start?
Breakfast at the hotel is amazing! Worth every penny of your stay… I mean, where else can you get for breakfast a made-to-order fruit smoothies and sushi??
Room service could be faster to tell the truth (it took 40 minutes to get some nescafè), but this is really the only thing that should be improved: the check in process was indeed very fast and smooth.
The location is good as well: it’s a 7 minutes walk to the beach, and about 15 minutes to Bangla Road, so it’s easy to get around and you never really need to take a taxi or a tuk tuk.
At the time of writing, rates for a Deluxe Room with breakfast for 2 start at 49 euros on Agoda, while a Junior Suite can be booked for 75 euros.
