The View at the Palm is an incredible spot to enjoy the best view of Palm Jumeirah, a man-made island shaped like a palm tree, from a birds-eye perspective.
Palm Jumeirah took close to 6 years to be built, and this artificial island is now home to very posh residential areas and hotels, high-end restaurants, shopping venues and incredible attractions.
While most tourists include Palm Jumeirah on their Dubai itinerary, not many know that the best way to truly admire the astounding shape of the island is not by visiting it, but by going above it. This is what you’ll be doing at The View at the Palm.
Located on level 52, it offers unique 360-degree panoramic views of the Persian Gulf, the island, and the city.
You’ll be standing 787 feet (240 meters) above the ground, which makes it one of the utmost vantage points in all of Dubai. Definitely one of the best views in Dubai!
Over the last couple of years, living in Dubai, I’ve seen most viewpoints and attractions. I liked visiting this attraction and recommend it even if you’ve already been to Burj Khalifa Observatory and Sky Views Dubai.
However, if you only have 2 or 3 days in town, I would skip this one, simply because you can’t do it all!
Check out this guide to learn what are the best times to visit, where to get your tickets, and how to get to the attraction, among other tips!

The View at the Palm Opening Hours
The View at the Palm opens Monday to Thursday from 9 AM to 10 PM, and Friday to Sunday from 9 AM to 12 AM. The last entry is one hour before closing time.
How To Get to The View at the Palm, Dubai
The Location of The View at the Palm is directly connected to the Nakheel Mall Rooftop.
▶️ The most convenient way to get there is by taxi. I usually use the Careem app to call taxis around Dubai.
▶️ If you’d rather reach Nakheel Mall by public transportation, you’ll need to first get to Palm Gateway. From there, take the monorail to Nakheel Mall station.
▶️ You can otherwise take the metro red line to Al Khail Metro Station or Dubai Internet City Metro station then take a taxi or the tram to Palm Gateway where you’ll take the monorail. Check Dubai’s monorail timings here.
However, I’ll be honest. I tend to use public transportation most of the time in Dubai, but this is one of the times I would opt for a taxi – it will save you a lot of time and hassle.
Once in the mall, head to the rooftop and follow the signs for The View at the Palm.
The View at the Palm Tickets
The View at the Palm only operates with timed-entry tickets, so I recommend purchasing yours online before visiting.
You can book your The View at the Palm tickets at the entrance. However, you might have to wait for a while if you decide to do so (and no fast-track or skip-the-line benefits!)
Once you have your ticket, make sure to arrive at least 15 minutes in advance to avoid risking losing your timed slot.
➤ The View at the Palm Observatory Entry Ticket allows you to choose whether you want to visit at Prime or Non-Prime hours. You’ll decide between the sunset views or fewer crowds (and cheaper entry fees!) when booking. If you select the Special Sunrise ticket, it’s even more affordable (but you’ll have to get up early!).
When you book, you can also decide to upgrade your ticket to have Fast-Track admission, both for Prime and Non-Prime Hours. ➥ BOOK IT HERE
➤ For a fancier experience, get the Breakfast or Drinks Admission Ticket that includes access to the VIP lounge, breakfast with coffee, or 2 beverages of your choice. ➥ BOOK IT HERE
I recommend buying your tickets on GetYourGuide because they can be canceled up to 24 hours in advance for a full refund. If you book through the official site, and your plans change, you can’t get a refund or change the date or time of your ticket.
What You’ll Find at The View at the Palm
The View at the Palm is the place to be to fully appreciate the iconic Palm Jumeirah island.
Its encircled palm shape can only be clearly seen from above, and that’s why the palm tower is such a popular spot to catch the sights of the famous attractions and the impressive Dubai skyline.
The journey to the 52nd floor starts with a 45-second interactive elevator trip that depicts the sea and the sky all around you, immersing you in the astounding views from the very beginning.
Once at The View at the Palm you’ll get to enjoy the panoramic, 360-degree views of Palm Jumeirah through the floor-to-ceiling massive windows. This is why I added this attraction to my list of the best things to do in Dubai!
Situated 787 feet (240 meters) above the island, and facing it directly, its observation deck is the perfect viewpoint to admire an aerial view of the Palm Dubai, the city’s most famous man-made island.
Being one of the best observation decks in Dubai, the viewing platform at the Palm Tower also features an outdoor terrace to enjoy unrestricted views of Palm Jumeirah, the Arabian Gulf, and the magnificent Dubai Skyline.
Besides making the most of the observation deck and hitting The View Café for a drink, visitors will have access to The View Exhibition. There, they’ll take an immersive journey on the history of Palm Jumeirah and its construction through floor mapping and aquarium tunnels.
➤ The VIP Experience at The View at the Palm grants you access to the VIP Lounge, where you can relax with a coffee or cocktail (fancy a glass of champagne to pair with the sights?) as you take in the views of the palm and spot some iconic landmarks.
The Next Level, a newly opened area on level 54, is the most elevated point of The View at the Palm, and it’s also Palm Jumeirah’s highest viewpoint at 820 feet (250 meters).
It’s an open-air viewing deck that will allow you to marvel at the scenery without any barriers, and can be visited by including it on your ticket upon purchase (it’s not included in the regular entrance tickets!).
Tips for Your Visit
What’s the best time to visit The View at the Palm?
For spectacular Palm Jumeirah views during sunset, the best time to visit is, indeed, around sunset, from 5 PM to 7 PM approximately. This is the busiest time at the viewpoint, however, as everyone wants to catch the golden Dubai skyline.
If you’d rather enjoy a view of the Palm and its surroundings with no crowds, the best time to visit is in the morning and noon, or after sunset.
How much time do you need for your visit?
30 minutes should be enough to take in the views and snap as many pictures as you want.
What should you know before visiting The View at the Palm?
